About:
Catherine Chen Gallagher is the Principal owner of Csimplicity Design, a full-service design firm in Los Angeles. Within a decade, Catherine’s refined combination of clean-lined and relaxed interiors reveal elements ranging from vintage extravagance to modern classicism. On her projects, Catherine seeks to integrate her client’s unique needs with her extensive knowledge of design history and deep relationships within the industry.

Commercial + Residential:
Csimplicity Design projects have included 1,100 sf. Downtown Los Angeles lofts, 10,000 sf. Pasadena private residences, and a complete re-imagining of a 77-room boutique hotel property. Csimplicity Design is accomplished at working on ground-up construction.

On all her projects, Catherine creates inventive and stylish design elements that allow for sophisticated living. Each aspect of a project including interior architecture, custom furniture design to complete furnishings is diligently tailored to reflect each client’s sense of beauty and personality.

Influence + Background:
Catherine as a child was surrounded with creativity. Her mother is an accomplished artist, jewelry designer and antique dealer and remains her most vibrant mentor. Catherine’s lifetime of exposure to high style has influenced her sensibilities, which strives for elegance and an appreciation of the finest details.

Prior to founding Csimplicity Design, Catherine graduated from UCLA Master of Architecture /Interior Design Program, then worked extensively with top development firms in Los Angeles.

Catherine is also member of the American Society of Interior Designer (ASID), Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce (MBCC), Hospitality Industry Network (NEWH), National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
